Petra Williams
Petra Williams was born in Dublin and grew up in Ireland. She has lived in France for 13 years and 2 years in the USA. Today she works out of Euro Art Studios in Tottenham.She has always been fascinated by the people and the environment around her. She continues to study life model drawing, focusing on the human form, its environment and movement. Much of Petra's practice explores plaster, applying and stripping it from canvas, then reapplying oil.
She has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in France and in London and takes part in the annual Euro Art Open Studios.
This series was painted at home during the lockdown.
'I work spontaneously each day on paper from mainly imagination, and tried to fill in this white space that was between me and my studio, with my thoughts - body's on paper'.
